Ticketing FAQs
How do I get a ticket with my badge?
Go to any Festival Box Office, which opens one hour before the first screening of each day at Festival theaters, up to 24 hours before the screening to request a ticket.
Where are the Festival Box Offices?
You can find our Box Office representatives at Premier Theater and Marina Theater from April 25-April 27 and April 29-May 3. There will be Box Office representatives at BAMPFA April 25 - May 1 and May 3. Box Office representatives will also be at the Jewish Community Center from May 2-3, Grand Lake Theatre on April 28, and The Castro Theatre on April 24 and May 4.
The film I want to see is AT RUSH, now what?
A show is AT RUSH when all advance tickets have sold out. Rush tickets may be available to those standing in line at the venue 30–60 minutes before showtime. Once all ticket and pass holders are seated, empty seats will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. We offer one ticket per person waiting in line at the time of admission.
Do the complimentary tickets to my own screening include my own seat?
If you plan on sitting through your screening, then yes! Your badge alone is not a ticket, even if you are attending your own screening.
Do my complimentary tickets to my own screening have reserved seats?
If your ticket is labeled “Filmmaker,” it will typically provide access to designated filmmaker seating. Reserved areas are marked with signage (often in light blue), but seating may vary depending on the venue and screening.
Do I need tickets if I want to attend a Schools at the Festival screening with guests?
No, if you need to attend/bring guests to a Schools at the Festival screening, please reach out to Guest Office or your Education contact.
